How is the APIC Text Online different from the APIC Text of Infection Control & Epidemiology, 4th edition book?
Put simply, The APIC Text Online (ATO) is the web-based version of the APIC Text, 4th edition -- but with regularly updated content, and exciting new features driven by an online platform. The ATO covers the same topics as the printed version, and maintains the same rigorous editorial standards—the authors are subject matter experts, and all content is peer-reviewed by our Editorial Panel prior to publication. The main difference is the online platform, which offers exciting new benefits to subscribers.
Benefits of the online platform include:
- Easy searchability: Use the “search” bar to search by topic, and find multiple pages of relevant content quickly and easily (Get tips on searching here)
- Faster updating: The online platform allows the ATO to be more responsive to changes in the field; updates are published as new standards and regulations are adopted, so you’re always up to date
- Increased accessibility: Our online platform means you can read the APIC Text when and where you need to, on your computer, tablet, or smartphone
- Printability: Like to read on paper? Print chapters on-demand using the “Print full chapter” feature
