Authors Chetan Jinadatha and Angelia Bridges cover the fundamentals of cleaning and sterilizing critical, semicritical, and noncritical items and surfaces, while also examining promising technologies like ultraviolet light rooms, hydrogen peroxide systems, and copper surface technology. They also explore the intricacies of proper cleaning and sterilization in dealing with toxic anterior segment syndrome, human papillomavirus, Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, and endoscope reprocessing.
