Who We Are
APIC Text User-Survey: We want your feedback!
Do you use the APIC Text? Help us improve by taking the APIC Text User Survey: https://forms.office.com/r/DsCBixParL
The APIC Text is overseen by eleven dynamic Clinical Editors with support from twelve Associate Section Editors - distinguished professionals selected by APIC for their expertise and authority in the field of infection prevention and control. Clinical Editors regularly review chapters and decide where updates are needed according to evolving guidelines, regulations, and best practices. Associate Section Editors act as chapter reviewers and provide chapter authors and Clinical Editors with feedback regarding chapter revision. Each chapter is peer-reviewed by at least two Clinical Editors and an Associate Section Editor prior to publication. Chapter authors are carefully selected based on their expertise, experience, and availability for chapter revision.
Chapter review and revision is a tremendous service to APIC and the IP community at large. Tremendous thanks to our Chapter authors, Clinical Editors and Associate Section Editors.
Want to get involved? Apply to author chapter revisions or review as an Associate Section Editor today! To author chapter revisions, submit a CV and writing sample to texteditor@apic.org for consideration or to learn more. Author teams of 1-3 are welcome. Prospective reviewers (Associate Section Editors) can apply via APIC's Volunteer pages under Short-Term Opportunities. IP certification, some publishing experience (academic papers, etc.) and/or specialized skills are preferred but not required. Various levels of experience are welcome. Outline how your professional experience is applicable to the role in your application. Please also note if you wish to author or review chapter revisions (or both!) and if you have chapter preference in mind.
